It took some convincing, as Jack and I were moving into our new apartment in my home city Chicago, but Jack got me to agree to join him and some friends for dinner. While enroute to dinner, we took a minor “detour” and strolled through Grant Park. Little did I know, a photographer was hiding amongst the trees and snow waiting to catch our “detour” all on camera. When we got to the park, Jack got down on one knee and with the city behind him, asked for my hand in marriage.
When it came to our wedding and deciding how to tackle our big day, our guiding principle was simple: throw an unforgettable party with those who have filled our lives with the utmost happiness, love and laughter. With that in mind, New Orleans was the only city that felt fitting. All the details from than on came easy. Our brilliant photographer had recommended THE most amazing wedding planner/designer, who not only brought to life our vision so effortlessly but made wedding planning feel like we were planning this special day with a good friend. The beautiful rustic wedding theme was incorporated in all the elements of the wedding.
