Claire Pettibone’s fall/winter 2016 collection was inspired by an era of extravagance, expansion and pure opulence: The Gilded Age (from about 1870-1900). Elements of metallic embroidery, dedicate beading and embellishments were used to exude the fashion of high society back in the day while staying true to Claire’s aesthetic of romantic sensibility. Rose gold, aquamarine, and pearls find their way into the gowns beautifully complementing the textile shimmers of the metallic thread embroideries.
