HOW THEY MET | On August 21, 2009, the stars aligned. Alexandra attended Michael’s 20th birthday party with her friend who was invited by one of Michael’s friends. As soon as they were introduced, they spent the entire night together. Throughout the rest of their relationship, the number 21 carried a special significance. Seven years after the day they met, on August 21, 2016, they got engaged, and on July 21, 2018, they celebrated their wedding.

THE RECEPTION | Hundreds of guests (350 to be exact) joined the newlyweds for their gorgeous garden reception. The couple shared their first dance to the symphony version of “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran featuring Andrea Bocelli. Later in the evening everyone took part in traditional Greek and Italian dancing. Alexandra and Michael kicked off the celebration with hors d’oeuvres, lamb chops, and prosciutto and Saganaki stations. At midnight, the late night snack bar included Greek desserts and a veal and rapini sandwich station.
To create the ambience and airy feel to the reception setting, the entire room was covered in ivory draping. To add some dramatic lighting, a 6’ Chandelier was hung from the centre of the dance floor. The dance floor was completely covered in a white vinyl and only the bride and groom’s initials in gold were added to the floor design. To continue to add the romantic garden setting, various candles were added to the design. From crystal candelabras, to floating candles and gold votives, all these elements added the perfect ambiance to the evening. For the guest table design, gold flatware and glass charger plates with gold rim along with a beautiful low gold pedestal vase centerpiece filled with white hydrangea, quick sand roses and beautiful green for the added garden feel. To add another element to the design, 2 serpentine guest tables were added to complete the design.
