Q: Tell us about your band? How did you get started?
A: As students of music, studio regulars, and touring sound engineers for high profile bands, we started performing together in 2018. These gigs quickly turned into requests to perform at private events and festivals. We loved seeing the joy and full dance floors that we could bring to these events. We perfected our event planning, expanded our repertoire, added members to the band–and the rest is history!
Q: What instruments do you offer for ceremony/cocktail/reception music? Tell us about the sizes of bands you can provide.
A: Whether you’re hosting a backyard soirée or a black-tie bash, we’re here to help you find the perfect band for your event, from a 3-piece to a 14-piece group! Ceremony instruments can be customized based on your requests, whether you want a classic piano performance or an elegant string quartet. We often book jazz trios for cocktail hour; but this is customizable as well! Our most popular reception band sizes are 5-8 pieces. Get your party started with a 5-piece band, which typically consists of guitar, bass, keys, drums and singers. Or upgrade to a six, seven, or eight-piece band to bring the house down with a horn section and guarantee your guests will be dancing all night!
Q: How does the booking process work for an engaged couple?
A: We encourage our couples to attend a free live showcase, where they can preview a variety of musical styles and band sizes to help find the perfect fit for their event. Make it a date night or invite friends for a fun evening out! Once booked, we offer a personalized planning page which makes it simple to organize your event. Q: What advice would you give to couples as a guide to choosing their playlist?
A: We offer a wide variety of music (Top 40, Motown, Rock and Jazz), with a solid repertoire of songs that will please all of your guests. From your six-year-old niece to your grandfather. It’s always important to have some freedom to read the room on the night; but our number one priority is pleasing YOU. Just let us know what you want to hear, and, if it’s not already in our set list, we’ll work with you to make your night perfect. You can also give us a list of songs or artists that you love and those you dislike on your planning page–we’ll base our choices on your music preferences. If you’re over making planning decisions, just leave it all up to us! We pride ourselves on knowing just what to play, and when to play it to keep the dance floor full!
