Ines Di Santo’s Spring/Summer 2016 Bridal Collection
Ines Di Santo presented her Spring/Summer 2016 Bridal Collection in a garden-like setting, inspired by the promise of the coming season. Consisting of 29 gowns, collection standouts included an embroidered Alençon sleeveless bodice with a short textured skirt and long train, an elegant ball gown with cascading gold and silver embroidered tulle, and a sinuous sheath with pearl-adorned cuffs and neckline. Chantilly lace gowns in watercolour shades of blue, champagne, and pink were masterfully constructed with airy tulle and satin layers. Sweeping removable overskirts in textures of Guipure and Alençon lace were luminous, while sheer panels and intricate embroidery recalled the delicateness of a butterfly’s wings.
A Garden of Elegance: Highlights from the Collection
The season flourished before guests’ eyes in the form of gold leaf lace and pearl seeding reminiscent of cherry blossoms and exotic garden flowers; vine-like motifs unfurled themselves along bodices and full skirts. The event culminated in a show-stopping vision of pale pink in the form of a fitted corset ball gown by Ines Di Santo, adorned with hand-crafted silk organza blossoms along the skirt and detachable train.
