Imagine an outdoor cottage garden wedding, but inside? In our minds, anything is possible! The team that created this beautiful editorial wanted to create a timeless and elegant editorial. Created for couples who want an intimate wedding indoors with little garden vibes, especially with the cooler weather ahead in Toronto. Having an indoor elopement that feels like you are outside of the snow and wind.
The editorial was inspired by Claude Monet’s painting – The Artist’s Garden at Giverny. We loved the mix of rich color tones used to depict a 1900s interpretation of a ‘Cottage Garden’. In keeping with the idea of relaxed garden design, they purposefully curated unsymmetrical floral arrangements and handwritten calligraphy stationary on organic handmade paper by incorporating gold flatware and dinnerware that echoed Parisian elegance.
They wanted to showcase the natural essence and rawness of a cottage garden. Every detail was crafted with care and purpose, from handmade paper to handwritten paper invitations, place cards, table numbers, vow books, and the most exquisite handmade detailed sugar flowers on the cake. To ensure guests are reminded that they are in a garden, we styled the floral arrangements with long stems in varying heights and directions like a summer breeze
