Ioanna met Michael in New York City in 2018. After their first date, Ioanna knew that this was the man she would marry. In 2019 they moved to Chicago where they settled near family and friends.
Most of her life, Ioanna has spent her summers in Kefalonia, Greece. Her dream was always to get married on this beautiful island she called a second home. Therefore, when it came to planning her dream wedding, Ioanna and Michael meticulously designed an unforgettable experience against the perfect backdrop.
Planning a destination wedding took some work, but their wedding was truly a dream come true. Tending to every detail and honouring every guest, the wedding was beautiful, sentimental and filled with love. From the fun beach day, they arranged for all their out-of-town guests, to the majestic rehearsal dinner and the spectacular wedding day, it was a weekend to remember.
The couple envisioned their wedding as a harmonious blend of classic elegance and coastal charm. To achieve this, they opted for a colour palette of white and gold. The evening’s entertainment featured traditional Greek music and plate smashing, captivating the guests and immersing them in the island’s rich cultural heritage. Guests joined in the fun, dancing the night away under stunning floral chandeliers.
As the night progressed, the pinnacle of the celebration was reached when Michael and Ioanna surprised their guests with a mesmerizing fireworks display. Against the backdrop of the dark sea, the sky exploded into a breathtaking display of colours, illuminating the smiles and awestruck faces of everyone present. The fireworks symbolized the couple’s love, a love that was destined to shine brightly, just like the night sky over Kefalonia.
