This contemporary wedding brought the “wow” factor.
What do you get when you put 17 bridesmaids, 12 groomsmen and a drop-dead-gorgeous theme together at Théâtre St-James? One unforgettable union! Since Ashley and David live in New York City, they decided to host their grand nuptials in a Contemporary space in Montreal that reflected the same magnificent architectural integrity: The first Canadian Bank of Commerce, more commonly known today as Théâtre St-James, with soaring ceilings, marble floors and towering columns.
The glorious day was designed by Charles Kay, and coordinated by EM Events with florals by Alain Simon Fleurs combined with contemporary decor, a feminine palette of pink and gold with swanky speakeasy bar elements to maintain the venue’s old-world charm. Later, a lush greenery arch at the ceremony was moved into the reception area, where modern mirrored and lucite tables were paired with high floral centerpieces and Louis XV chairs.
