A Celebration of Love and Culture

Mary and Dele’s wedding was a magical fusion of the Nigerian Edo and Yoruba cultures, creating an unforgettable celebration of love and heritage. From the moment they entered Carmen’s banquet hall, the air was charged with the promise of something extraordinary.

wedding ceremony

The rooftop ceremony was a visual masterpiece, with flower men casting lavender petals and presenting roses to the guests along the aisle. The colour palette of purple, lavender, and black adorned the space, complemented by a breathtaking array of fresh florals, including purple roses, cool water, purple wax flowers, yellow button mums, and baby’s breath. It was a fairy tale come to life.

What set this wedding apart was its unique amalgamation of two Nigerian tribes. The couple showcased their heritage through four outfit changes, including two traditional attires that beautifully represented the diversity of their cultures. Following the ceremony, the Royal Botanical Garden in Hamilton, Ontario, provided a picturesque backdrop for their photoshoot. Amidst lush greenery and vibrant blooms, it captured moments that would last a lifetime. Mary’s desire to incorporate African music and a cultural band for an experience reminiscent of Nigerian church music was met with perfection.
