On August the 6th of this summer, CANDICE & ALISON Luxury Weddings had the pleasure of designing and managing supermodel Monika Schnarre’s marriage to fiancé Storey Badger. They were a beautiful couple, to say the least. Monika is the youngest model ever to grace the cover of Vogue Magazine and continues to work both as spokesperson and actress in addition to working on her fashion label “Tall” (exclusive to The Shopping Channel). Monika will also be launching her own line of handbags at the end of this year. This high profile, yet charming lakeside wedding boasted a guest list of celebrity actors, musicians and key political figures. The rustic scenery served as a most elegant backdrop for this fairytale. The intimate ceremony took place in a small church overlooking Lake Rosseau. Afterwards, 150 friends and family joined them to celebrate their love at a private beachfront residence in Muskoka. For an extra special touch, the couple was serenaded by the legendary Paul Rogers.

A wedding favour, or bonbonniere, is a thank you gesture from the bride and groom to their guests. This customary offering of unique trinkets filled with originality and symbolism has been around for ages. In many places around the world, these items are selected based on the colour scheme, a particular theme, or on some aspect that characterizes the couple. They are usually presented in a decorative box or wrapping that includes sugared almonds. These are also filled with good karma. The five almonds that are wrapped in tulle represent wishes: fertility, long life, wealth, health, happiness. When making your selection of wedding favours, you can pick just about anything.
Shot glasses, wine glasses, picture frames are useful and pretty. Other gifts include monogrammed bottle stoppers or wine bottles with your initials. Some gifts even include a picture of the couple, and/or the wedding date. Say thank you in your very own unique way!

You are cordially invited to take notice of every detail when selecting your invitations for your wedding. Since they are the first impression, give your guests a hint of what’s to come. Select the colour theme of your wedding and match the invites. Draw from a special print that will appear in your tables, such as a damask or brocade, and make that the inside design of the envelope. Pink a distinguishing feature such as the crystal drops that will decorate your wedding cake and garnish your invitations with tiny specks of crystals. Choose bows, ribbons, or a vintage design and combine with the right texture. Inquire about calligraphy services that may enhance your wedding theme. Each detail begins the process of harmony leading to the wedding day.

Collection Aire 2011
Aire Barcelona thinks of you, creating gowns full of magic to ensure you’re the your most beautiful on your great day.
Since the beginning of time, a bridal bouquet was a noteworthy part of the wedding. At that time, it was shaped from garland, which was symbolic of love and happiness. They were made of herbs and garlic, believed to have the power to ward off evil. Flowers in the form of a wreath were also worn on the bride’s head—and on the groom’s; all in the name of never-ending happiness.
Today, we construct elaborate and imaginative creations to symbolize love. Flowers can be bright and colourful or they can be part of an all-white theme. They come in different shapes, styles, and sizes with names that signify the nature of their art. You can opt to match them with your dress, your wedding theme, or pick your flowers based on their delicate scent.

Why are pearls so effortlessly connected to weddings? Is it because they are versatile gemstones that are found in many colours like white, black, and pink? Or does it have something to do with their lustre, size, or simple shape? Whatever secret lies behind their allure, one thing is for sure: it keeps them in close proximity to love and ritual. No two pearls are identical, like couples each pearl has its own history, shape, and tradition. But somehow when strung together in unison, they are strong and timeless. Each tiny pearl ball is a truly a miracle; our link to the past, our hope for the future. In ancient times, they symbolized mysticism and beauty—thought to have magical protective powers. Today, they are fashionable accessories or family heirlooms. Regardless of how you wear them: on your hair, as a bracelet or a ring, they complement any wedding gown with an innate grace that only a pearl can boast. Next time you wear pearls, appreciate their story and let them write their unique version in your love story. Necklace and Bracelet available at Creations Georgianni
Stacie and Stephane were married on January 9th, 2010 on the island of Providenciales in Turks and Caicos Islands in the British West Indies.
Their destination wedding was unique, because the destination also happens to be their home. They held both their ceremony and reception at www.fleurdelysvilla.com. The villa’s name is both a reference to Stephane’s home province of Quebec and to the overall French Provincial style of the villa which they laboriously spent 4 years building. Version:1.The villa is available to couples looking for a ceremony and reception venue or a wonderfully romantic place for a honeymoon.
Although they hosted an island wedding, much of their wedding wardrobes and supplies were sourced in Montreal. Turks and Caicos has many Canadian residents which were involved. The wedding planner, Teresa Brunner of www.tropicaldmc.com , is originally from Calgary. The florist Natalie Zaidan of Environmental Arts is from Montreal, one of their three photographers Kelley Hayes is from Ontario www.brilliant.tc and the cake maker, Diane Guess, is originally from Vancouver.
They were ecstatic to have Quebecois country singer Patric Normand, Stephane’s second cousin, perform Crois-en l’amour for the mother-son first dance. The ceremony and reception music was performed by Daniel Blouin, a long time singer at the Aux 2 Pierrot Bar in Old Montreal, who like them, migrated to Turks and Caicos on a six-month contract for Club Med and never left.

What’s a girl to do when shopping for the most special day of her life? Wearing a wedding dress has been the tradition for centuries, but as time passes we have fashioned many variations for the wedding gown. As brides choose to personalize every aspect of their wedding day…naturally, they begin with the pursuit of right dress—something that suits their individuality and style. With this in mind, trying on wedding dresses is filled with the joy and hopefulness that day merits. It promises to bring out the whimsy, the adventure, the class, the elegance, the feminine side, or the girly side—any side you want to reveal. And don’t forget the latest trend: you don’t have to stick with one dress. You can choose the long, silky gown with the Guipure lace for the ceremony and switch to the mini dress to dance the night away. Be romantic, be traditional, be trendy…you can have it all.
Event coordinators are always looking for fresh ways to translate each couple’s vision by creating something personal, something unique; something that speaks from the heart and expresses them fully. The magic of their specialized pieces sets the mood, defines the colour scheme or brings out the theme of your wedding day celebration.
An elegant wedding theme can include specialized pin spot lighting or oversized flower arrangements complemented by just the right seating and linens to suit your style. A more whimsical reception may be in need of transitional pieces or ultramodern geometrically shaped chairs. Colourful glasses, fluid fabrics, and interesting table décor breathe life to your theme.
